I have a passion for solo travelling. It grants you the freedom to explore the world on your own terms. Throughout my life as a dedicated traveller, I have explored numerous corners of the globe.
I embarked on my solo travel adventures in my early 20s. Back then, solo travel often involved joining tours or staying in hostels to meet fellow travellers. However, as we enter our 30s, 40s, and beyond, our travel preferences evolve. With the busyness of life and work, our holidays become even more precious. We no longer seek hostels for socialising, but staying alone in hotels can sometimes feel isolating. It’s wonderful to have companions to share meals with, visit local wine bars, or venture into off-the-beaten-track destinations.
Group tours can still be an option, but being the only solo traveller amidst couples can be overwhelming. Not to mention the frustrating and expensive ‘single supplements’ often imposed. Sharing accommodation with a stranger is not always an appealing choice either.
I understand the challenges faced by solo travellers.
And thus, SoloMade was born. It is a community dedicated to solo travel, where like-minded explorers can connect. It is a place to share your travel dreams and experiences.
